SONG DEEP IN YOUR BONES
This song began in Disputanta Kentucky, at the Clear Creek Festival, a solar-powered celebration of the arts and our connection with the land. It became a choral piece arranged for Malcolm Dalglishʼs Ooolation Singers, and premiered at Yosemite National Park.
I believe that if we listen deeply, we can hear music in the wind, the water, the earth, and deep in our bones. And no matter how disconnected we get, that music is always there, when we are ready to return and listen.

The Elise Witt Choral Series features Michael Holmes' arrangements of my songs
for SATB, TTBB, and SSAA choruses and choirs. Here is a new video of Michael doing all the parts (!) for the TTBB version.

SONG DEEP IN YOUR BONES
When you're feeling dry, there's water in the well
Dip the bucket deep, dip the bucket long Dip the bucket deep oh yeah, dip the bucket long Dip the bucket deep now, dip the bucket long Dip the bucket deep, dip the bucket long
When you're feeling dry, there's water in the well
No rain from the sky, just a tear in your eye All alone, far from home you roam Feeling tired, uninspired, like you're drifting away From your heart and the part you play
When you're feeling dry, there's water in the well
Wind blows through the leaves, voices of the trees Singing through the sky to the earth Water over stones, listen in your bones Songs that you have known before birth
Song deep in your bones Song deep in your bones

On November 23, 2019, over 50 musicians and more than 300 audience members gathered at the Chosewood Arts Complex in Atlanta to celebrate the release of ALL SINGING: THE ELISE WITT SONGBOOK.
Designed by Jessica Lily, with music engraving by David Marcus, the Songbook contains 58 original songs with music notation, lyrics and chords, graphics, photos, and lots of stories.
The concert raised over $12,000 for the Global Village Project, a school for teenage refugee girls with interrupted education, where I serve as Artist-in-Residence and Director of Music Programs.
