On January 15, 2009, I was honored to be invited to lead singing at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site for Dr. King’s 80th birthday celebration. The closing speaker that evening was Rev. Timothy McDonald from First Iconium Baptist Church in Atlanta. Rev. McDonald is inspirational, both as a fiery speaker and as a charismatic singer. When he spoke these words, I knew they had to become a song.
