The program starts at 2:00 p.m.with performances by GVP students. After the performance, light refreshments are served. Please come mingle with the GVP community. GVP is located inside the Decatur Presbyterian Church at 205 Sycamore Street, Decatur, Georgia. The performances take place in the chapel. Please enter on the Church Street side of the building.

Theme is “Welcome” and will feature an original Multi-lingual/Polyrhythmic/Musical Collage written w/GVP students using the word for “welcome” in our 10 languages!

Global Village Chorus greets Little Amal

Little Amal is the 12 foot puppet of  a 10 year old Syrian refugee child at the heart of The Walk.  She has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees. 

Global Village Project Welcome Walk

Every year, the Global Village Welcome Walk is a chance for our community - including students, families, volunteers, donors, partners, and friends - to gather in the spirit of welcome. Our 10th annual Welcome Walk will take place in person on Saturday, November 5th! This year, we invite everyone to join us and celebrate our commitment to welcoming refugees with open arms.
