DESCRIPTION:Photo by Jessica Lily\n\n\nThursday evenings\n\n\n\n6:15 Optional Quigong warmup6:45 – 8:00 Class\n\n\n\nMay 1\n\n\n\nDiscover\, explore\, and expand your natural voice with Singing for FUN for EVERYONE. Singers learn songs that explore the vast expression of harmony from around the world.  There are also lots of songs in English\, including songs from the African American tradition\, quirky rounds\, food songs\, Elise originals\, and lots more! Singers of all levels of experience are welcome. \n\n\n\nThe singing workshop includes body and voice integration\, calling in elements of Tai Chi\, Yoga\, and Alexander Technique\, as well as dance\, theater\, and vocal improvisation to focus on breath and ease of movement. \n\n\n\nAll of the songs are broken down into easily learnable parts and become thrilling to sing in a group. Her many years studying with Rhiannon (Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra) informs her singing\, composing and teaching.  \n\n\n\nSuzzette’s work as a music teacher has been recognized\, with countless awards for empowering inner-city students through choral music. She served as Director for Artistas y Musicos Latino Americanos (AMLA) music school in Philadelphia. Her high school choirs achieved first and second place awards in Italy\, Prague\, Puerto Rico\, Ghana\, Poland\, Virginia\, Nashville\, New York\, New Orleans and Orlando.
