Global Village Chorus greets Little Amal

Little Amal is the 12 foot puppet of  a 10 year old Syrian refugee child at the heart of The Walk.  She has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees. 

Elise hosts Mary Flower on the Daily Antidote of Song

Flower is a renowned guitar instructor, teaching at music camps and festivals, offering lessons online and in person, and frequently crafting articles and tips as a regular contributor to Acoustic Guitar. Daily Antidote of Song: Making each day better, one song at a time!

Though we’ve now been able to have occasional live and in person sings, we are still going strong online, with ever more fun ways to be together in the virtual space. It’s been lovely having folks from Canada, Vermont, California, Alabama, Illinois, Connecticut, Colorado, Tennessee, Michigan, and Virginia, join our regular Atlanta crew of singers. And there are so many wonderful new songs to enjoy in this new format. Come join us!

Global Village Project Welcome Walk

Every year, the Global Village Welcome Walk is a chance for our community - including students, families, volunteers, donors, partners, and friends - to gather in the spirit of welcome. Our 10th annual Welcome Walk will take place in person on Saturday, November 5th! This year, we invite everyone to join us and celebrate our commitment to welcoming refugees with open arms.

A Musical Trip Around the World @ Farmington Woods Elementary, Cary NC

Through multi-lingual singing, students will gain a perception of the rich differences that exist between cultures, while also sensing the universal nature of music that binds the world together as one family. Students may learn a bi-lingual Puerto Rican song celebrating the human family, a Kiswahili counting song, an animal song in French, a clock song in Danish, a mystery song in Japanese, or a New Orleans vegetarian jazz song. Many songs will also be accompanied with Sign Language.

2024 ~ Singing The Inspiration Of Ossabaw Island

Join us on Earth Day, for an opportunity to bring full awareness to this beautiful piece of Earth. Ossabaw Island provides a unique ecosystem to connect deeply with nature, the human story of this place, and the creative expressions that unfold. Elise and Gayanne will lay a framework for connecting with each other and the land/water as all of this offers a conduit to our creativity.
