MAKING AMERICANS: STORIES OF HISTORIC STRUGGLES, NEW IDEAS, AND INSPIRATION IN IMMIGRANT EDUCATION

October 22 @ 7:30 pm 8:30 pm

Just before the pandemic, author/teacher Jessica Lander visited Global Village Project (GVP), the special purpose middle school where I use singing to teach English to teenage refugee girls with interrupted education. She was making a journey visiting special places for immigrant education… and now GVP is in her book!

Jessica is coming to Charis Books to introduce her book to Atlanta, and along with Mr. Crispin Ilombe Wilondja, our Student & Family Engagement Manager, I will be having conversation with Jessica about her new book.
