CHORUS:
Words, words, we love words
We’re expanding our Vocabulary
Words, words, we love words
We really love to read the Dictionary
Words, words, it’s really not scary
If you ask us how we like it we say VERY, VERY much
VERSE 1:
A NOUN is a word that’s a person, thing, or place
We can usually find a noun in space
Except when the noun is an idea
Like hope or peace or courage or fear
VERSE 2:
An ADJECTIVE’s a word that describes a noun
Loud and soft are adjectives for sound
In Music, short sounds are called Staccato
To describe smooth sounds, use the adjective Legato
CHORUS:

We’re expanding our Vocabulary
Words, words, we love words
We really love to read the Dictionary
Words, words, it’s really not scary
If you ask us how we like it we say VERY VERY much
VERSE 3:
A VERB is an action, something we do
Or a state of being, like how are you?
When we define a verb, we use the word to
Like believe means to accept something as true
VERSE 4:
To describe a verb, use an ADVERB, please
Quickly, slowly, you can move with ease
Can’t think of an adverb? Give this a try
Just take an adjective and add -ly
